05. März 2020 von 16:15 – 17:15 Uhr

Ort: TU Darmstadt | Piloty-Gebäude S2|02 | Raum C 110 | Hochschulstraße 10 | Darmstadt

Dozent/-in: Dr. Radia Perlman, DELL/EMC

Abstract
So much that is written about blockchain talks about how important and exciting it is, and how to use it, and how much various companies are investing.  With this sort of information, it's very difficult to figure out what blockchain actually is, what its properties are, and what problems (if any) it is a good solution for.  This talk will give a bit of background into exactly what blockchain is, various common misconceptions, and explore topics that people claim blockchain would be good for, comparing a blockchain approach with other approaches.
