Wise counsel for cybersecurity publishes first report

Prof Matthias Hollick gives recommendations for a digitally smart city in the future

The “Weisenrat für Cyber-Sicherheit” (wise counsel) by the Cyber Security Cluster Bonn gives recommendations on improved security during the digital transformation to the politics and economics departments in its first report. ATHENE researcher Prof Matthias Hollick of the TU Darmstadt is one of six members of the counsel. He describes the thematic as the focus on how future cities have to be constructed to raise resilience and security for critical information and communication structures while simultaneously securing its citizens’ privacy.

In einer Übersicht wird das Selbstverständnis in Bezug auf Sicherheit, Resilienz und Privatheit einiger ausgewählter digitaler smarter Städte dargstellt. Aufgeführt ist dabei u. a. die Digitalstadt Darmstadt mit ihrem Fokus auf IT-Sicherheit, Datenschutz und IKT-Resilienz.

In an overview illustrated by an example of a digitally smart city, the conception of security, resilience and privacy are demonstrated. The report includes for instance the Digitalstadt Darmstadt with its focus on IT security, data protection and IKT resilience.
