ATHENE researcher becomes advisory board member of Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH)

ATHENE researcher Prof Christian Reuter of the TU Darmstadt has been chosen by the senator of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Katharina Fegebank, to be part of the Scientific advisory board of the "Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg" (IFSH) for the following four years, supported by the advisory board decision.

The Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH) was founded in 1971 following recommendations of the Federal President at the time, Gustav Heinemann. The IFSH is an independent institution operating as a foundation based on the German civil law. According to the constitution, the institute is meant to focus primarily on peace research in terms of security policy, therefore fulfilling the criteria of liberally motivated research and teachings, as well as funding of junior scientists and the publication of research results.
