Private Set Intersection -Identify common data quickly, securely, and easily while protecting all remaining data.

Many actions in the digital world require users to make all of their data accessible. However, users often do not want all of their data to be disclosed to third parties. For example, mobile messaging apps require access to user address books in order to identify the contacts also using that app. Private Set Intersection (PSI) is a cryptographic technique that allows fast, secure, and easy identification of common contacts, without disclosing any other data. The EC SPRIDE-research team is providing a first look at a newly developed security software.
