ATHENE / Fraunhofer SIT at Hannover Messe

Product piracy and cyberattacks on connected vehicles are among the most pressing challenges facing both industry and consumers. At this year's Hannover Messe, ATHENE researchers from Fraunhofer SIT are presenting two practical solutions that are specifically designed to counter these threats. Their projects SmartID and ELISA demonstrate how security research has a tangible economic and social impact.

ATHENE at GPEC 2026

The General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference, or GPEC® for short, is one of the leading events in Germany where public authorities can find out about digital technologies and solutions for internal security, law enforcement and homeland security – as well as training and professional development. ATHENE researchers from Fraunhofer SIT will be presenting an innovative range of offerings relating to IT forensic data analysis and artificial intelligence at this year’s GPEC® in Hall 2 at the Fraunhofer joint stand, Stand No. J32.

ACM CODASPY 2026

The 16th ACM Conference on Data and Application Security and Privacy (CODASPY 2026) is taking place from 23 to 25 June 2026 at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main's Westend Campus. This leading forum focuses on high-quality research into security and privacy at the data and application levels. ATHENE is assisting with the organisation and execution of the conference.

The annual ATHENE IT Forensics User Day focuses on a new key topic each year, providing information on trends and new developments for practical application in digital forensics and related areas of IT security.

Every year, inter­nationally recognised biometrics experts come together to exchange the latest research results, requirements and developments in biometrics. ATHENE is one of the co-organisers of the conference.
