The Software for the Judgement of Fingerimages, which was developed by CRISP Researchers is implemented by BSI and the BKA wird von BSI und BKA eingesetzt
CRISP researchers have decisively part in the development of a procedure for judging the quality of fingerprints, which will be implemented the coming year by the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) and the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA).

Passport offices and registration offices use the software for passport and visa application procedures, the BKA uses it for forensic examinations. Representatives from BSI and BKA reported on behalf of the GERMAN TELETRUST BIOMETRICS WORKING GROUP on 13 December 2016 in Berlin.
The procedure was developed in cooperation with the Hochschule Darmstadt, Fraunhofer IGD, the secunet Security Networks AG and the US Americanischen NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
