Panel discussion about „Internet und Gesellschaft: Zukünftige Herausforderungen für Politik, Wirtschaft, Forschung und Zivilgesellschaft“
With an inaugural conference the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) officially commenced their work on the third of Feburary. In the Bochumer Jahrhunderthalle 150 guests were invited, to celebrate the founding of CAIS and afterwards took part in an opening session.
After speeches about the topics „Digitale Werteordnung“ und „Digitale Souveränität“ a panel discussion about „Internet und Gesellschaft: Zukünftige Herausforderungen für Politik, Wirtschaft, Forschung und Zivilgesellschaft“ took place. Participating speakers were: Markus Beckedahl (Bürgerrechte, Netzpolitik.org), Anne Wizorek (Medienberaterin und Netzfeministin), Cornelia Schildt (eco – Verband der Internetwirtschaft e.V.), Dr. Michael Kreutzer (Fraunhofer-Institut für Sichere Informationstechologie SIT) und Prof. Dr. Rolf Schwartmann (Kölner Forschungsstelle für Medienrecht).
