IEEE Computer Society appoints EC SPRIDE director Prof. Michael Waidner to Steering Committee of the »IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative«
Launch of the IEEE Center for Secure Design (CSD)
In 2014, the IEEE Computer Society, the leading association for computing professionals, launched the IEEE Center for Secure Design (CSD) with a cybersecurity initiative. EC SPRIDE director Prof. Michael Waidner now was appionted to the Steering Committee of this IEEE Cybersecurity Initiative.
The IEEE Center for Secure Design (CSD) intends to shift some of the focus in security from finding bugs to identifying common design flaws in the hope that software architects can learn from others' mistakes.
