March for Science 2018
A symbol for science and research
This year CRISP supports the March for Science as an official institution again. Among other supporters are TU Darmstadt, the “City of Science” Darmstadt as well as the Fraunhofer-Society. Whereas in 2017 the focus was on demonstrations, this year the dialogue between science and society is to be intensified. The Technische Universität Darmstadt takes part with a podiums discussion to the topic Digital Change..

In advance to the „March for Science“ the TU Darmstadt organizes a podiums discussion with the title “Wer und was treibt hier wen? Digitalität in Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft“on the 12th, April 2018 at 6pm. Scientists debate chances and risks, facts and myths in view of radical technological changes.
On the 14th, March from 13:30 till 15:00 a march though Frankfurt`s center takes place. The March for Science is a worldwide initiative for the value of science, research and facts. It criticizes that scientifically grounded facts are denied, relativize or are compared with “alternative facts” on an equal level, to raise political capital.
