NoPhish ? Internet fraud easily learn to recognize
Team of EC SPRIDE Researcher Melanie Volkamer developed an educational game App for phishing detection
The educational game App "NoPhish" is now available in the Google PlayStore (for German users). It enables users to increase their awareness and competence with respect to Internet phishing attacks in a playful and interactive way. In different game levels users learn how to properly parse a URL and detect phishing attacks, while the exercises give direct and positive feedback.
The App is available via Google Play Store. It has been developed and evaluated in the framework of the master thesis of Clemens Bergmann and Gamze Canova. This thesis was supervised by Prof. Volkamer and Prof. Tenberg (co-supervisor). Since then, the app was improved based on the results of the user studies.
