CRISP-Sceintists are hnored for their dissertations

Dr. Siegfried Rasthofer and Dr. Steven Arzt, both Fraunhofer SIT, are awraded the Software-Engineernig- Prize of the Ernst-Denert-Stiftung for their dissertations. They presented their work at the Award Session of the software Enigeering conference in Ulm.

Both scientists obtained their doctorate at TU Darmstadt and did research at the cybersecurity centers CASED or EC SPRIDE, which became part of CRISP in 2015, during their dissertations.

The Ernst-Denert-Stiftung awards the Software-Engineering-Prize since 1992. An outstanding work in the area of methods, tools and proceedings of software development, which is practicable, is recognized. This year the jury could not decide between the two dissertations and awarded both scientists with the 5.000€ prize without further ado.

 

The recognized disserations  are:
Improving Mobile-Malware Investigations with Static and Dynamic Code Analysis Techniques (Siegfried Rashofer), PhD Thesis, Technische Universität Darmstadt, 2016.
Static Data Flow Analysis for Android Applications (Steven Arzt), PhD thesis, Technische Universität Darmstadt, 2016.
