ATHENE Transatlantic Panel on Cyber­security and Technological Advancements

ATHENE brings together high-level stakeholders and leading experts from the United States and Germany to discuss opportunities and challenges of transatlantic cooperation in digital transformation research and associated cybersecurity risks and solutions.

The discussion, moderated by Prof. Haya Schulmann, focuses on strengthening bilateral research cooperation in an era of cross-border cybersecurity threats. Particular emphasis is placed on synergies between American and German research approaches as well as regulatory frameworks.

The panelists are: U.S. Consul General Brian Heath from Frankfurt, Hessian CDU Parliament member and science policy spokesperson Lucas Schmitz, Prof. Elisa Bertino from Purdue University and CERIAS Research Director, ATHENE COO Prof. Michael Waidner from TU Darmstadt and Fraunhofer SIT, and Prof. Moti Yung from Columbia University and Google Research Scientist.

The event will be accompanied by an exhibition showcasing the latest research developments at ATHENE.

The panel discussion will be conducted in English. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
