IEEE Computer Society appoints EC SPRIDE director Prof. Michael Waidner to Steering Committee of the »IEEE Cyber­security Initiative«

In 2014, the IEEE Computer Society, the leading association for computing professionals, launched the IEEE Center for Secure Design (CSD) with a cybersecurity initiative. EC SPRIDE director Prof. Michael Waidner now was appionted to the Steering Committee of this IEEE Cyber­security Initiative.

The ambitious project Industrie 4.0 aims for nothing less than a "fourth industrial revolution", or more concretely, a stronger computerization of the classical industries, for instance production and  automation. It is strongly related to the notion of the Industrial Internet.
