Hessian Minister of the Interior visits CRISP
During the Week of Science of the Hessian State Government, Minister of the Interior Peter Beuth attended the Center for Research in Security and Privacy (CRISP) in Darmstadt. Through his visit, he emphasized the importance of Darmstadt as a location for research and science to improve cyber security for our economy and society.

CAST Award 2016
CAST e.V. awarded the CAST Award for IT Security for the 16th time this year. The scientific committee of CAST e.V. searched for the best young talents in the categories Master's and Diploma thesis and Bachelor's thesis and selected the five best works per category. The first-places winners will win a free participation to the CAST workshops in 2017.

Athene-Preis für Gute Lehre 2016
Prof. Matthias Hollick, CRISP researcher at TU Darmstadt, and his colleague M.Sc. Matthias Schulz received the "Athene Preis für Gute Lehre 2016" in the category "Sonderpreis Studienprojekte". The prize is endowed with 3,000 Euros. They received the award for their course titled “Physical Layer Security in wireless systems”.

"Datenlotsen-Preis 2016" of TU Darmstadt
Patrick Klapper, a student at the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, was awarded with the "Datenlotsenpreis 2016" for his Master’s thesis "Sicherheitscheck - electromagnetic attacks on cable-bound communication networks". Prof. Matthias Hollick, CRISP researcher at TU Darmstadt and professor for Secure Mobile Networks, supervised the thesis.
