Freedom and Responsibility of IT-Sciences

The development of new information and communication technologies has changed everyday life enormously, especially in the previous two decades, and has therefor important social and scientific consequences. With the workshop “Freiheit und Verantwortung in den IT-Wissenschaften” the joint committee for the handling of security-relevant research of DFG and Leopoldina provided a platform for discussions about the responsible handling of dual-use relevant research in It-sciences on 27. CRISP-researchers publish paper at NDSS`18

ACM WiNTECH 2017

CRISP-researchers Prof. Matthias Hollick, Matthias Schulz and Daniel Wegemer, all CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, received the Best Paper Award at 11th ACM International Workshop on Wireless Network Testbeds, Experimental evaluation & CHaracterization (WiNTECH) for their paper "Nexmon: Build Your Own Wi-Fi Testbeds With Low-Level MAC and PHY-Access Using Firmware Patches on Off€-the-Shelf Mobile Devices". The researchers work at research group Secure Mobile Networking Group (SEEMOO), leaded by Prof. Matthias Hollick.

51st International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology, Madrid

CRISP-researcher Prof. Christoph Busch, University of Applied Science Darmstadt, talks about "Biometric Systems and Presentation Attacks" at the 51st International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology (ICCST) in Madrid, Spain.
ICCST, technically sponsored by IEEE is one of the longest-running inter­national technical symposia. This conference has a broad scope and invites papers that advance security technologies including physical, cyber and electronic security research, development, systems engineering, testing, evaluation, case studies and new research lines to face current and future challenges. All papers will be carefully subjected to a blind review process. Conference proceedings will appear in IEEE Xplore.

Kick-off: Intel Collaborative Research Institute for Autonomous & Resilient Systems (ICRI-CARS)
