Cyber Security Researcher of University of applied Science takes part in NIST SRE 2016
The team of the University of Applied Science Darmstadt was the only research group from Germany to attend the NIST SRE 2016. The Speaker recognition Evaluation (SREs) organized by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) take place every two years and are the most important public Technology Evaluations in the area of voice biometrics. The 62-member team consists of experts of 16 institutes and universities of 4 continents. Member of the cooperation were a.o. IBM EURECOM, Institute for Infocomm Research, the Alibaba Group, the University of New South Wales and the University of Texas at Dallas.

Prof. Katzenbeisser takes over the chairmanship of S-CI
Prof. Stefan Katzenbeisser, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, is chairman of the first S-CI- workshop. The workshop aims to bring together point of views of various critical infrastructures, to bring out similarities of security problems and solutions for the further development of security protection of critical infrastructures.

E-Vote-ID 2017
The conference E-Vote-ID is one of the leading international events for E-Voting experts all over the world. In 2016 the up until then bi-annual conferences, EVOTE and VoteID, were fused into the annual E-VOTE-ID conference. Prof. Melanie Volkamer, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt is chairwoman of the program committee. Her assistant Oksana Kulyk is member of the Track Chairs in the PhD colloquium.

IJCB: International Joint Conference on Biometrics 2017
Not just one, but four papers by CRISP-scientists of the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and one of Fraunhofer IGD were accepted at the upcoming International Joint Conference on Biometrics 2017 (IJCB). The IJCB is one of the top-conferences for Biometrics and is visited by countless internationally recognized Biometrics-researchers. CRISP-scientist Prof. Christoph Busch, Darmstadt Univeristy of Applied Sciences, is a member of the program-committee of this year's conference.

Exchange of Digitalization
The "Digitalstadt" Darmstadt welcomed Dr. Robert Habeck, Schleswig-Holstein's first Minister for Digitalization. Mayor Jochen Partsch received Habeck together with CRISP-Speaker Prof. Michael Waidner, Chief Digital Officer of the "Digitalstadt". Together they discussed how to meet the challenges of the growing cities by means of digitalization.

Delegation visit of Humboldt-Foundation
International researchers of Humboldt-Foundation visited Darmstadt on two occasions to inform themselves about the local Cybersecurity Research. Members of the delegation were Humboldt-scholarship holders, who were admitted as above-average qualified scientists to the "Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers" program.
