Prof. Mira Mezini honored as ACM Fellow

Professor Mira Mezini, who represents TU Darmstadt on the ATHENE Board, has been inducted into the circle of ACM Fellows. She is now one of 55 outstanding scientists worldwide to be named an ACM Fellow by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in 2024. This award recognises their groundbreaking contributions to computer science and technology.

As the world's leading professional association for computer science, the ACM drives technological innovation through its global network and brings experts together from around the world at numerous conferences. A particular honour is the appointment as an ACM Fellow, widely regarded as one of the highest honours in computer science.

Professor Mira Mezini heads the Software Technology Group at TU Darmstadt and represents the university on the ATHENE Board. Her research focuses on programming languages and software engineering, particularly the development of intelligent software systems. She was one of the first scientists to use machine learning to automatically complete program code, opening up new avenues in software development.
