The state of Hesse extends its cybersecurity cooperation with Fraunhofer SIT
The state of Hesse has been working with ATHENE member Fraunhofer SIT in the field of cybersecurity for several years. To extend this proven cooperation for another four years, State Secretary of the Interior Martin Rößler and Institute Director Prof. Dr. Michael Waidner signed a new framework agreement in Wiesbaden for services in the field of application-oriented cybersecurity research.

The agreement, backed by two million euros, offers the opportunity to access funds for research projects, studies, and expert opinions in a targeted and short-term manner in response to current challenges. In doing so, the state benefits from the expertise of the interdisciplinary Fraunhofer Institute SIT in various areas of cybersecurity. The institute was awarded the contract for research services at the end of an EU-wide tender process conducted by the state.
