Leopold Born is a German political leader and strategist currently serving as Secretary General of the CDU in the state of Hesse. In this role, he leads party strategy, political campaigning, organizational modernization, and is influencing the party’s programmatic direction. In the 2025 federal election, he won Bundestag constituency 182 (Frankfurt) for the CDU. Previously, he served as campaign manager for various elections and as Chairman of the Junge Union Hesse, the youth organization of the CDU, building a reputation as a leading voice of the next generation in German politics. Operating at the intersection of policy, political strategy, and public leadership, Leopold is focused on strengthening democratic institutions and advancing responsible governance in Germany. He studied Economics and Business Administration in Frankfurt, Barcelona, Charlottesville and Guangzhou, and worked in cyber security before entering politics.
