Biography

HUANG Yiyang is the seventh Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Frankfurt am Main since July 2023.
Prior to his current position, he was responsible for multilateral economic diplomacy at the chinese Foreign Ministry for many
years. From 2018 to 2023, he was Deputy Director- General of the Department of International Economic Affairs. From 2015
to 2023, he served as China's BRICS Sous-Sherpa and was also responsible for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development. He played key coordinating roles in China's hosting of BRICS and G20 summits, as well as the Belt
and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the High-Level Dialogue on Global Development. He was also engaged
in participations at the World Economic Forum in Davos and was China's first negotiator for the outcome documents of the
China-EU Summits during his posting as political director at the Chinese Mission to the European Union in Brussels from 2012
to 2015.
He graduated from the China Foreign Affairs University with a Master's Degree in International Relations.
