Cybersecurity Learning Lab: Security and Privacy of Bluetooth Low Energy

November 16 – 17, 2021

Location: online

The widespread use of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and the lack of protection against attacks in the basic configuration make BLE a popular target for attacks. This makes it all the more important to be aware of possible weak points in the BLE protocol. In this seminar, experts from Fraunhofer SIT will explain the current dangers in the BLE protocol and how the best possible security and privacy can already be taken into account when designing a BLE application.

The seminar offers ...

  • An up-to-date and comprehensive overview of the security and privacy of the BLE protocol.
  • Clear, practical examples and hands-on training to internalise and comprehend the presented knowledge independently
  • An overview of published vulnerabilities in the protocol and in specific implementations.

Target group are...

  • Professionals and specialists
  • Executives / management
  • IT security experts
