Lecture Series Secure Critical Infrastructures

December 13, 2023, 04:15 pm – 05:55 pm

Sascha Düerkopf from the Fraunhofer Institute for Scientific and Technical Trend Analysis will speak today about "Methods for Risk Management of Physical Infrastructures". The series of events will focus on various critical infrastructures and their security challenges. Speakers from research institutions, companies, public authorities or operators of critical infrastructures have been invited to give expert presentations on individual facets of the topic. The "Secure Critical Infrastructures" lecture series, which is being offered for the 10th time at TU Darmstadt, is organized by ATHENE scientists Prof. Matthias Hollick and Prof. Christian Reuter as well as Prof. Jens Ivo Engels.

The event is open to Bachelor and Master students of the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Social and Historical Sciences, in particular also of the International Studies/Peace and Conflict Studies program, as well as to (post-)doctoral students and researchers and all interested parties of the TU Darmstadt. The event is also aimed at the interested public.

The lecture series takes place every Wednesday from 16:15 - 17:55 in hybrid form. I.e. the lectures will be held in the lecture hall of the TU (Karolinenpl. 5, 64289 Darmstadt) in front of an audience. Furthermore, there will be the possibility to participate in the event via ZOOM, in order to allow for about 50-100 additional guest listeners per session, as was the case last year with the purely digital execution.
