Lecture Series "Secure Critical Infrastructures" with Sebastian Schaffrath (Datenstrategie Deutsche Bahn)

The lecture series "Secure Critical Infrastructure" will focus on various critical infrastructures and their security challenges. Speakers from research institutions, companies, authorities or operators of critical infrastructures have been invited to give expert presentations on individual facets of the topic. Sebastian Schaffrath (Datenstrategie Deutsche Bahn), today on "Zwischen Stellwerk und Statistik: KI-Produktentwicklung in der Bahninfrastruktur". The "Secure Critical Infrastructures" lecture series, which is being offered for the 13th time at TU Darmstadt, is organized by ATHENE scientists Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Hollick and Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Reuter as well as Prof. Dr. Jens Ivo Engels.

The event is open to Bachelor's and Master's students in the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Social and Historical Sciences, particularly those on the International Studies/Peace and Conflict Studies programme, as well as anyone at TU Darmstadt who is interested. Members of the general public are also welcome to attend.

The lecture series takes place on Wednesdays from 16:15 to 17:55 in a hybrid format. This means that the lectures will be held in person in Room S103/123 (Old Main Building, Hochschulstr. 1, 64289 Darmstadt). Furthermore, participants have the option to join the event via Zoom.

It is organized in partnership with the LOEWE Center EmergenCITY and the Secure Urban Infrastructures research division of ATHENE. It is part of TU Darmstadt’s profile themes of “Cyber­security” and “Complex Interconnected Systems” within the Research Field I+I.
