Exchange of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
Consul General James W. Herman visited Fraunhofer SIT to enquire about the excellent research results of Fraunhofer SIT and CRISP. A few weeks ago a "Lunchon" was held at the US Consultate in Frankfurt on the topic of Cybersecurity, where Prof. Michael Waidner attended as one of about 15 representatives of economy and authorities from the greater area Frankfurt.

International scientists of It-Security met in Darmstadt to exchange research results about the reserach initiative Reliably Secure Software Systems (RS³) funded by Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft with twelve million Euro and to lay the foundation for the future of IT-Security.

New CARS Lab
Intel and leading European universities in the field of cybersecurity and privacy will open a new initiative for “Collaborative Autonomous & Resilient Systems” (CARS) to tackle security, privacy, and functional safety challenges of autonomous systems that may collaborate with each other – examples are drones, self-driving vehicles, or industrial automation systems. CRISP-researcher Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt is director of CARS Lab at TU Darmstadt.

Internet Security Days 2017
At the Internet Security Days (#ISD17) experts of Internet Security are meeting for the seventh time in Cologne to inform themesleves profoundly and to exchange information about new developments. CRISP-Researcher Dr. Marco Ghiglieri, CYSEC [at] TU Darmstadt, gives a speech on the topic of "Angriffe mit gefährlichen Nachrichten / effektive Sensibilisierungs- und Schulungsmaßnahmen". Aim of the speech is to present problems of existing awareness-raising measures, his own concept and results of an evaluation as well as different methods of realization.
