Dr. Julia Freudenberg

CEO of Hacker School

Since 2017, Dr. Julia Freudenberg has been the CEO of Hacker School. The non-profit organization aims to inspire young people to code and provide access to digital education for all children and adolescents through course offerings directly in schools and on weekends, introducing them to the IT world in a playful manner. She completed her part-time studies at the FernUniversität in Hagen and subsequently earned her doctorate at Leuphana University Lüneburg. In her role as a networker, Dr. Julia Freudenberg fosters close collaborations between Hacker School and various companies, as well as non-profit and governmental initiatives in the IT sector. She places a special emphasis on equal opportunities and diversity, with specific offerings particularly for girls and socio-economically disadvantaged youth, to provide them with equal educational opportunities. She is passionately committed to viewing digital education as a societal responsibility that must be addressed collectively.
