Niklas Vogel

Niklas Vogel is a researcher for the ATHENE National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity at Goethe University Frankfurt. His research interests are focused on routing security and security of Internet infrastructure, with an emphasis on RPKI, DNS, and BGP.
Vogel has graduated with two master degrees in Electrical and Information Engineering from Technical University Darmstadt, and since then has worked at the faculty of Prof. Haya Schulmann in Frankfurt as a researcher and teaching assistant.
Vogel has published at renowned international conferences, including USENIX and NDSS, and has contributed to major industry conferences, like NANOG, BlackHat USA, and BlackHat Europe. His research has also shaped governmental policy, with citations of his research in the US Routing Security Roadmap, the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on routing security by the National Cybersecurity Director, and the DNS Deployment Guide by the FCC.
